1.     Identification: -- It is a salt usually obtained by the decomposition of Iron pyrites by the action of                                             atmospheric moisture and also by dissolving iron ore in sulphuric acid. There are two                                     varieties, one yellow and other green. It occurs in pale bluish-green oblique prisms.
